The Explosion-Proof Valve is a critical safety mechanism in lead-acid batteries, designed to prevent catastrophic failures caused by excessive internal pressure. During charging and discharging, lead-acid batteries produce hydrogen and oxygen gas (electrolysis of water), which can create a highly explosive mixture (oxyhydrogen gas). If ignited by a spark or high temperature, this can lead to battery rupture or even explosions.
The Explosion-Proof Valve ensures:

2. Working Principle
The Explosion proof valve operates based on pressure differentials:
Normal Operation: The valve remains closed, maintaining battery seal integrity.
Overpressure Condition: When internal pressure exceeds a set threshold , the valve opens, releasing gas.
Flame Arrestion: Some valves include a sintered metal filter or porous ceramic element to quench flames, preventing ignition of internal gases.
Resealing: Once pressure drops, a spring or elastic membrane reseals the valve.
